Smooth mobility corridor / bike path between the University of Aveiro and CP Station

RIPORTICO concluded the execution project for the construction of the cycle path between the University of Aveiro (UA) and the CP station.

Integrated in PEDUCA, the project clarifies the route between the CP Station and the UA, passing through the Congress Center of Aveiro (CCA), guaranteeing safety to pedestrians and cyclists, for a length of 2.4 km.

The project envisages the construction of two bicycle lanes in most of the intervened streets, the creation of banalized lanes that allow the sharing of lanes between bicycles and cars and the creation of cycle lanes segregated from the motorway in some sections of the route , with emphasis on the track to be built in front of the CCA.

The project also provides for the redefinition of junctions and plazas, such as the junction of the Humanitarian Volunteer Firemen's Association Street with the Rua Mário Sacramento, or the remodeling of the square next to the CP Station, which is now a taxi rank.

It was also proposed the improvement of road pavement and of light and horizontal signaling along the entire route.
